En DAPIN (Design and Projects International C.A.), we have successfully completed the implementation of our Criminal Compliance System, a key tool to guarantee regulatory compliance and prevent criminal risks in our operations.

This system includes a Crime Prevention Model that analyzes potential criminal risks within the organization and defines the protocols, procedures, measures and controls needed to prevent them. Its development involved:

• Analysis of the organizational structure and administrative functions.
• Assessment of business operations.
• Preparation of a criminal risk map.
• Definition of a crime prevention program.
• Setting up a confidential, secure whistleblowing channel.

DAPIN’s Criminal Compliance Policy

One of the main milestones of this process was the approval of the Criminal Compliance Policy, which governs the company’s ethical and legal commitment. This policy establishes:

• Rigorous compliance with applicable criminal legislation.
• Continuous oversight to prevent criminal acts.
• Minimizing exposure to criminal risks.
• A framework for defining and reviewing the objectives of the criminal compliance system.
• Protection for whistleblowers who report suspicious conduct.
• Continuous improvement of the regulatory compliance management system.
• Authority and independence of the Compliance Officer.
• Assumption of responsibilities in the event of system breaches.

This policy applies to all our activities, especially those related to our engineering services for the construction of energy facilities in sectors such as oil, gas, combined cycles, generation and cogeneration.

Whistleblowing channel: confidential and accessible

DAPIN has established an effective whistleblowing system to facilitate the reporting of potential irregularities. Both employees and third parties can report, confidentially and even anonymously (where the law allows), any sign of regulatory non-compliance.
